Maybe try that? Wonder what causes the issue then because I have certainly restarted my PC several times for the other issues I was having before downloading A Way Out.
Might be a leap but considering the longevity of this issue, the lack of a known definitive fix for this issue among the seemingly random intervals and random victims of this issue point to a deep rooted serverside bug (lets be real, bug S with a fucking bold, capital, italicized S).Įdit: lmao just restarted my PC and its downloading at 20MB/s without pausing (although its only been like 3 minutes, about 2 minutes 30 seconds longer than I got my last session prior to having issues so I'll knock on wood).
In the right pane, locate ‘ProgramFilesDir’ under name and make sure that the value isC:\Program Files. In registry, browse to the location HKEYLOCALMACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version. Type ‘regedit’ in the start search box and press enter.
Completely unsure as to why this occurs and have not found any information on how to alleviate the problem. Let’s follow these steps and check if it helps. For whatever reason its just still not fixed. None of the threads seem to offer a definitive solution. This issue can be found reported back in 2011 and plenty of times after. After restarting the download, trying safe mode, disabling other programs, running program in admin mode, running it in the beta, reinstalling Origin (which, by the way, the installer had several issues this time around, only had one error when I tried it on Burnout paradise, fucking sigh), tried different installation hardware, port forwarded the necessary ports for Origin and removed any firewalls/potentially conflicting antivirus. Today I tried downloading A Way Out to play with a friend (who downloaded slow but no pauses) and the download does not progress similarly to how Burnout Paradise was acting. Uninstalled origin, reattempted download and finished OK but with extremely reduced speeds near about 2MB/s on a 300Mb/s connection. Download kept pausing, would constantly lose data and never made any progress. Had to babysit installer to get it finalized.ĭownloaded Burnout Paradise Remastered to further check out Origin Access. In this case by pause I mean the speeds trickle down to 0 bytes and it just stalls.ĭownloaded BFV and the download kept pausing. Downloaded BF4 a few weeks ago slow, mostly without error but had to unpause a paused download on most of the DLC's.
